Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Leadership Luncheon welcomes Wayne County CEO Robert A. Ficano
DETROIT, MI - The Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce today hosted Wayne County Executive Robert A. Ficano as part of their Autumn Leadership Luncheon series. In addition to the Chamber Leaders, special guests included Nizar Malouf of the Wayne County Probation Office, Jimmy Alibri of Prime Parking, LLC, Denise Boumaroun and George Ansara of Ansara Restaurant Group, Nader Fakhouri of the Wayne County Office of Management & Budget, Ramzi Dalloo of Dalloo Enterprises, Nick Najjar of Century 21 Realty, Carl Dallo of General Title Agency, Samar Ghorayeb of Chase Bank, and James Akouri of Cellular City Verizon Wireless. Also joining the CEO were his senior aides Fred Berry, Turkia Mullin, and Wassim Mahfouz. CEO Ficano addressed the current state of the county, the Detroit Metro Airport business initiative and the upcoming Diversity Procurement Workshop being presented by Wayne County’s One-Stop Buisness Resource Center and Wayne County Airport Authority.

Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Leadership Luncheon features Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation
SOUTHFIELD, MI - The Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce today hosted FBI Special Agent in Charge Dan Roberts and Assistant Special Agent in Charge Bill Kowalski as part of their Autumn Leadership Luncheon series. The Agents joined Chamber Leaders at The Club Room at Kabobgy Lebanese Cuisine in Southfield, Michigan. Special guests included Glenn Martin of WJR AM-760, Victor Green & David Austell of Wayne State University, Dr. Yahya Basha of Royal Oak based Basha Diagnostics, Nizar Malouf of the Wayne County Probation Office, Assistant Farmington Hills Police Chief Richard Niemisto, and James Akouri of Cellular City Verizon Wireless. Agents Roberts and Kowalski addressed the need for recruitment within the bureau and discussed their new facility being built in downtown Detroit.

Lebanese American Business, Civic & Religious Leaders Meet with Detroit Cardinal Adam Madia
DETROIT - Launching the official start of the Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce (LACC) Fall 2006 Leadership Luncheon Series was special guest Cardinal Adam Maida. Business and Civic leaders from Oakland, Macomb, Washtenaw and Wayne Counties gathered together at The Club Room at Kabobgy Lebanese Cuisine for this auspicious occasion to meet and listen to the head of the Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit. Also joining the group was Very Reverend Father Joseph Antypas of St. George Antioch Orthodox Church of Troy, Michigan who presented His Eminence with a special gift. The LACC Members included Lou Peters of Paramount Bank, and John Akouri, Chairman and CEO. Delegations attending the event included those from Madonna University, Wayne State University, the Assembly for Lebanon, and longtime Detroit-area community leader Mr. Ed Deeb, President of the Michigan Food & Beverage and Michigan Business Professionals.
