John Akouri Leads Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce Delegation to Annual Diplomatic Reception

(BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MI/USA)...Lebanese American Chamber of Commerce President & CEO John Akouri tonight led a leadership delegation to the annual Diplomatic Reception held at Ballantrae, the residence of Dr. Jonathan Swift. In addition to Akouri, the delegation included State Dept International Visitors Council Executive Director Julie Oldani (both Members of the LACC Board of Directors), and Sam Attisha, Director of Information Technologies at the Chamber. Also in attendance was the Acting Consul General of Lebanon, His Excellency Bachir S. Tawk, who had just returned the day prior from Beirut.
The annual event hosted by Swift, Director of International Education at Madonna University, recognizes the Consular Corps, as well as arriving new diplomats. Guests at the reception included: General Director of Michigan Opera Theatre Dr. David DiChiera, President of Madonna University Sr. Rose Marie Kujawa, CSSF, Pastor of St. Regis Catholic Parish Fr. Norman Nawrocki, Fifth Third Bank Vice President of International Corporate Banking David M. Roden, and Dr. & Mrs. Tarik Daoud, of the Al Long Family Automotive Center. Guests once again dined on a veritable feast prepared by Henry Ford Hospital Executive Chef which included traditional Lebanese Hummus and Tabbouleh appetizers.
