René Moawad Foundation to hold 15th Annual Washington, DC Gala Dinner

(WASHINGTON, DC)...RMF-USA will hold its 15th Annual Benefit Gala on Saturday, October 25 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Pentagon City in Arlington, Virginia, in support of the Foundation's work in Lebanon. The proceeds of this year’s Gala are dedicated to RMF’s 'Adopt a Student' Program, which provides Lebanon’s youth with the opportunity for a better education in semi-public schools by covering the cost of their tuition and school supplies.
The 2008 Honorees are: Dr. Edward D. Soma, RMF-USA President Emeritus & Past Chairman of the Board, ALSAC & St. Jude; Mr. Claude Comair, President and Chief Executive Officer of DigiPen Inc Co-Founder of Nintendo Software Technology Corp. The event features a fashion show by Lebanese designer Jamil Khansa and master of ceremonies will be U.S. Congressman Ray LaHood (R-IL).
Since its creation in 1993, RMF-USA has succeeded in assembling a large number of Americans, united by a common will of promoting peace and stability in Lebanon through development. H.E. Nayla Moawad, Founder and Honorary President of the RMF, former First Lady of Lebanon, and current Member of the Lebanese Parliament, will travel to the US, especially for this occasion.
