2005 Teen Conference Hosts Delegation of Michigan Council Members, Public Officials
Teens Taking Action (TTA) hosted a conference today with a delegation of elected and public officials from around the State of Michigan at Kabobgy in Southfield. Organized by longtime member Steven Moussawer and 2005 President Andrew Corey, the mini-conference allowed the student organization to interact with Councilmen Don Fracassi of Southfield, John Akouri of Farmington Hills, David Lambert of Troy and Kirk Yousif of Oak Park. Stopping by to learn more about TTA were Hon. Ken Daniels, Specialist with the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Johnny Oram, Chief of Staff to State Representative Lamar Lemmons and Andrew G. Robertson III, Esq., Attorney for the City of Ecorse. TTA serves to advocate and prevent the abuse of tobacco, drugs, alcohol; to have teens becomes more involved in the community, politics, and government; and to raise money to donate to the homeless and charities in Michigan. In addition to the annual 'Safe & Sober Spring Break' - a TTA delegation of students will soon travel to Washington, DC to attend a CADCA meeting.
